Access to this menu in Betools through: InstancesIcon.png Commons > Languages



In this section it will be possible to define the languages available in the platform. They are used to describe the audio and subtitle language for the different contents, as well as the contents metadata. Instances have a pre-defined default language, which will be the language used to return all the metadata available.

Language basic information


Field Description Restrictions
Name Name informative, internal

Owner Operator that created this item.

Title Payment method that has been associated to an instance.

Code Code of the language. International code Format Language 2 digits (ISO639-1) - COUNTRY 2 DIGITS (ISO 3166). Example: pt-BR, en-US, es-ES NOTE that the name must be the same defined to the desired dictionary xml file language-country.mibconfig located in “\Config\Dictionary” in the application’s root folder, string. Take into account that the language-country file name actually corresponds to the locale of the XML file. -
ISO Code A value compatible with the Code field. This field must be: (according to ISO 639-2 pattern). For example: code = "en-US"; Then, Iso Code = "eng"; -



Instances


This block displays if the language is assigned to any instance as default language. It is not editable, as it has to be managed from the Instance page

New3.png Create

Administrators can create Languages.

  1. Use the New3.png button to create an empty entry.
  2. Fill all the required information.
  3. Once finished, save changes by using the Save3.png button.



BulkEdit3.png Edit

Language edition is enabled for Administrator operators. It can be used to modify some existing information. Once finished modifying the information, save changes by using the Save3.png button in the edit page.

Edit3.png Edit in List

Edit in list is not enabled for this page.

BulkEdit3.png Bulk Edit

Bulk Edit is enabled in this page, allowing you to modify several items at the same time. However, not all the relateds blocks will be available for performing a bulk edit operation. The blocks available are:

Copy3.png Copy

Copy is disabled in this page.

Copy3.png Copy with relateds

Copy with relateds is disabled for this page.

Delete3.png Delete

Languages can be deleted by the Administrator operator using the Delete3.png button. A confirmation popup will be shown before excluding it. Be careful, if the language is associated to an instance as a default language, it will be removed from that Instance and the instance will remain with no language.
