Access to this menu in Betools through: VODIcon.png Video On Demand > Content Workflow > CDN > Storage Areas


In the new ingestion mechanism, there will be a direct relationship between Storage Area (Origin) in GVP where the contents are stored (defined at profile level in the sources) and the Ingestion Bucket ID to be used when replicating content. The currently Storage Areas are not defined in database, are only defined at Configuration file level (MibMediaConfig.mibconfig), but it was proposed to create in database a new table called Storage Area.

Storage Area Basic information


Field Description Restrictions
Name A name to the Storage Area.
Source The Source or this Storage Area.
Owner Name of the Storage Area creator. ReadOnly
Storage Area Id Storage Area ID to be used.
Bucket Ingest Id CDN Ingestion ID to be used during content replication requests.

New3.png Create

Storage Areas creation is enabled.

  1. Use the New3.png button to create an empty Storage Area.
  2. Fill all the Storage Area data.
  3. Once finished, save changes by using the Save3.png button in the Storage Areas page.


BulkEdit3.png Edit

Storage Areas edit is enabled. It can be used to perform modification in the Storage Area data and related information. Once finished modifying the Storage Area, save changes by using the Save3.png button in the Storage Areas page.

Edit3.png Edit in List

Edit in list is disabled.


BulkEdit3.png Bulk Edit

Bulk Edit is enabled in the Storage Areas page, allowing you to modify several Storage Areas at the same time. However, not all the relateds blocks will be available for performing a bulk edit operation. The blocks available are:

  • Basic storage area information


Copy3.png Copy

Copy is enabled for Storage Areas. Using the Copy3.png button, you will be able to clone the basic information from the storage into a new storage area. Once the storage area is copied, review that all the fields have been copied properly and press Save3.png Save button.

CopyWithRelateds3.png Copy with Relateds

Copy with relateds is enabled for Storage Areas. but in this case it works just like the simple copy. Once the Storage Area is copied, review that all the fields have been copied properly and press Save3.png Save button.

Delete3.png Delete

You can delete a POD from the Storage Areas Page, using the Delete3.png button. A confirmation popup will be shown before excluding it.
