Access to this menu in Betools through: VODIcon.png Video On Demand > Content Workflow > CDN > Origin


CDN Origin is a storage location where the content will be replicated (GVP_CDN_ORIGIN), representing the storage definitions. The CDN Origin has a country and an IP/Hostname. The Origin will be associated to Sources, to indicate the new CDN Agent what Origins should be used for the contents of an specific Source.

Origin Basic information


Field Description Restrictions
Name A name for the Origin.
  • Mandatory
Source A dropdown with the list of Sources to select one (List of Sources). The source for this Origin.
  • Mandatory.
Owner Name of the Origin creator. ReadOnly
Country The country page is shown to the user to select a Country to be associated to this Origin.
Hostname / IP Text field to insert the Hostname or IP of this Origin (No validation, the operator must be careful when typing this attribute).
Origin Entity Integer field, editable.
  • Mandatory.


Actions

Create Edit Edit in List Bulk Edit Copy Copy with Relateds Delete

  Create

Origin creation is enabled.

  1. Use the   button to create an empty Origin.
  2. Fill all the Origin data.
  3. Once finished, save changes by using the   button in the Origin page.


  Edit

Origin edit is enabled. It can be used to perform modification in the Origin data. Once finished modifying the Origin, save changes by using the   button in the Origin page.

  Edit in List

Edit in list is disabled.

  Bulk Edit

Bulk Edit is enabled in the Origin page, allowing you to modify several Origin at the same time.

  Copy

Copy is enabled for Origin. Using the   button, you will be able to clone the basic information from the origin into a new origin. Once the origin is copied, review that all the fields have been copied properly and press   Save button.

  Copy with Relateds

Copy with relateds is enabled for origin. but in this case it works just like the simple copy. Once the storage is copied, review that all the fields have been copied properly and press   Save button.

  Delete

You can delete a origin from the Storage Areas Page, using the   button. A confirmation popup will be shown before excluding it.
