Access to this menu in Betools through: AdministrationIcon.png Administration > DMM > Remote Folders


On this page it is possible to register, edit or configure the Remote Folders. Remote folders are source directories of content, where the videos and images to be processed are obtained. As GVP is using a NAS server for all content storage, the Remote Folder identifies the shared disk in this NAS server that DMM is able to manage for content storage.

Remote Folders basic properties


Field Description Restrictions
Encoding Farm Suffix containing the Elemental encoding farm. This suffix should be added after "elemental_" in the DmmEncodingAgentConfig.mibconfig farm section.
Name Name of the remote folder, internal and informative
Owner Mib User that have created this remote Folder. ReadOnly
Active If this remote folder is active or not.
Notification e-mail (Success) To notify by e-mail when some process end.
Notification e-mail (Failure) To notify by e-mail when some process failed.
Server IP or name of the external server.
Port (FTP) Port number of the FTP server.
Path Path folder.
Username (FTP) Username to access the FTP server.
Password (FTP) Password to access the FTP Server.
Extensions Filter to read only files with specified extension file.
Check Subfolders If the process will look inside sub-folders.
Type Define if the server is a FTP, Windows Shared Folder, RSS or a path on the Web.
Local Folder To associate to some Local Folder.
Has pre-encoded videos To ignore the profiles and associated to this source.
Quick Content Internal Usage.
Server (Aspera) Url or IP of the Aspera Server.
Port (Aspera) Port number of Aspera server.
Path (Aspera) Path folder for Aspera Server.
Username (Aspera) Username to connect on Aspera Server.
Password (Aspera) Password to connect on Aspera Server.
Is Importer Enabled If checked the Importer will try importing the files in this Remote Folder, if unchecked it will not.
Priority it will order the folders, setting a priority of which folder must be checked first.
Source (Remote MIB Server) Remote MiB Server.


Encoding Profiles



 
Encoding Profiles block


This block allows you to associate the profile with the current remote folder. New profiles will be addede directly to encoding profiles page.


Add existing Encoding Profile

  • Click the   button and a dialog will open to select and existing Encoding Profile.
  • Once finished, save changes by using the   in the Remote Folders page and the Encoding Profile be associated.


Remove Encoding Profile

  • Use the   button to remove the association of Encoding Profile from the Remote Folder.
  • Once finished, save changes by using the   in the Remote Folders page.


Actions

Create Edit Edit in List Bulk Edit Copy Copy with Relateds Delete

  Create

Remote Folders creation is enabled.

  1. Use the   button to create an empty Remote Folder.
  2. Fill all the Remote Folders data.
  3. Once finished, save changes by using the   button in the Remote Folders page.


  Edit

Remote Folders edit is enabled. It can be used to perform modification in the Remote Folders data. Once finished modifying the Local Folder, save changes by using the   button in the Remote Folders page.

  Edit in List

Edit in list is disabled for Remote Folders.

  Bulk Edit

Bulk Edit is enabled in the Remote Folders page, allowing you to modify several Remote Folder at the same time.

  Copy

Copy is enabled for Remote Folders. Using the   button, you will be able to clone the basic information from the Remote Folder into a Remote Folder. Once the Remote Folder is copied, review that all the fields have been copied properly and press   Save button.

  Copy with Relateds

Copy with Relateds is enabled for Remote Folder. Using the   button, you will be able to clone a Remote Folder into a new Remote Folder. In this case, works just like the simple copy. Once the Component is copied, review that all the fields have been copied properly and press   Save button.

  Delete

You can delete a Remote Folder from the Remote Folders Page, using the   button. A confirmation popup will be shown before excluding it.
