Access to this menu in Betools through: LiveTVIcon.png Live > Live Channels > Media Services



This menu allows you to review the Media Services configurations, that allow to configure playback streams of Live TV channels through IPTV (Open Platform).

Media Services page


Field Description Restrictions
Name Internal name. Not displayed in end user apps
  • Mandatory
Description Only for operator annotation. -
Live Channel Live channel which this CDN Live is associated to. -
Multicast Address IP address for this multicast IPTV channel
  • Mandatory
Multicast Port Port for this multicast IPTV channel
  • Mandatory
Type The type of this stream:
  • FS_4k: 4K quality stream.
  • FS_HD: HD quality stream.
  • FS_SD: SD quality stream.
  • PIP: Picture in picture. Low quality channel (no audio).
  • Mandatory
Encryption Type Allows to configure the CAS encryption system to be used for this stream:
  • Nagra: Nagra SSP CAS system.
  • None: No encryption for this channel.
  • Mandatory
ACRef Stream ACRef to be used for scrambling purposes. -
Source Controls the access and visibility of this Media Service for other operators. Only operators with rights over this source or its children will be able to see it.

Actions

Create Edit Edit in List Bulk Edit Copy Copy with Relateds Delete

  Create

Media Services can be created by most of the operator profiles (EPG Manager, OB Admin). Use the   button to create a new Media Service and configure it. Once finished, save changes by using the   in the Media Service page.

  Edit

Media Services modifications are enabled for some operator profiles (EPG Manager, OB Admin). It can be used to perform modifications in some of the CDN Live related data. Once finished, save changes by using the   in the CDN live page.

  Edit in List

Edit in list is disabled for Media Services for security reasons. You have to go to Edit Page to perform any modification.

  Bulk Edit

Bulk Edit is disabled for Media Services page.

  Copy

Copy is enabled for Media Services. Use the   button to copy a CDN live into a new one. Only the basic information will be copied.
Once finished, save changes by using the   in the Media Service page.

  Copy with Relateds

Copy with relateds is enabled for Media Services. Use the   button to copy a CDN live into a new one. Only the basic information will be copied.
Once finished, save changes by using the   in the Media Service page.

  Delete

Media Services can be deleted using the   button. A popup will be shown asking for confirmation. If you continue with deletion, the Media Service and its related information will be deleted from the platform.
