Access to this menu in Betools through: UsersIcon.png Users > User Devices



This section allows to access the different devices registered associated to a user account. It is not possible to create or remove an User Device, just edit it.

User Devices basic properties


Field Description Restrictions
Name Name given by the user to this Device. Readonly.
Friendly Name It is the device name. Readonly.
User Id Internal ID of the current User. Readonly.
Device Id Internal ID number of the device. Readonly.
Device Type Type of the device associated. Readonly.
Owner Name of the creator. Should be OB Administrator. Readonly.
Enabled If the link between the device and the user is enabled or not.
  • If it’s enabled you can’t associate this device to other user.
MAC It is device_external_id Readonly.
Master This field is applied only STB Mediaroom and defines what STB will be the master for recordings. If there isn’t any Master device Mediaroom will select one between the devices with HardDrives. Readonly.
Last Update Date of the last update.
Notification Token Notification token generated. Readonly.
Token enabled Enable/disable the token generation. Readonly.
Device Manufacturer Manufacturer information
Device Model Device Model information
Device Operating System Device Operatin System information
MAC Address MAC Address
Client Version Client Version information
Netflix ESN ESN(electronic serial number) device that is related to netflix.


Pairing Code


Pairing Code contains the codes generated by STB to connect to the IPTV service. This will be done through a simple pairing process in which the device running the Remote PVR application is registered as trusted device for the user’s IPTV account on GVP, in order to program recordings.


Application Token


The device authenticates and generates the Application Token through the authenticationservice.svc, in other words the device doesn’t need know the user account/password because the pairing already have happened.

User Devices creation is disabled.

BulkEdit3.png Edit

User Devices edit is enabled by default for most of the operator profiles. It can be used to perform modification in the User Device data. Once finished modifying the User Device, save changes by using the Save3.png button in the User Devices page.

Edit3.png Edit in List

Edit in list is disabled for User Devices.

BulkEdit3.png Bulk Edit

Bulk Edit is enabled in the User Devices page, allowing you to modify several User Devices at the same time. However, not all the relateds blocks will be available for performing a bulk edit operation. The block available is:

Copy is disabled for User Devices.

CopyWithRelateds3.png Copy with Relateds

Copy with relateds is disabled for User Devices.

Delete3.png Delete

Delete is disabled for User Devices.
